Your Right to Data Deletion
At MyWedDate, we believe you have complete control over your personal data. This policy explains how you can request deletion of your data and what happens when you do.
Your Data Rights
Under data protection regulations, you have the right to:
- Access all personal data we hold about you
- Download a copy of your data in a portable format
- Request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data
- Restrict or object to certain processing of your data
What Gets Deleted
When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed from our systems:
Permanently Deleted Data
- Your account information (email, name, password)
- Your entire wedding website and all its content
- All photos uploaded to your gallery
- All guest RSVP responses and data
- All preferences and customization settings
How to Request Deletion
You can request deletion of your data in two ways:
Option 1: Self-Service Deletion (Recommended)
- Log in to your MyWedDate account
- Go to Dashboard > Settings
- Click on "Delete Account"
- Confirm deletion by entering your password
Option 2: Email Request
Send an email to our privacy team with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Please include the email address associated with your account.

Processing Timeline
We process deletion requests as quickly as possible:
- Confirmation email sent within 24 hours
- Data deletion completed within 30 days
- Final confirmation email sent upon completion
Data Retention After Deletion
Once you request deletion, your data is removed permanently. However, there are limited exceptions:
Exceptions to Immediate Deletion
- Data required for legal compliance (tax records, fraud prevention)
- Information necessary to resolve disputes or enforce our terms
- Data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being purged
Third-Party Data
If you logged in using a third-party service (Google, Facebook), deleting your MyWedDate account does not affect your account with those services. You may need to manage your data with them separately.
